Biography

Angela is a Spanish cellist based in Berlin, and is passionate about chamber music making and eager to create alternative concert experiences. She holds a Bachelor degree from the Royal Northern College of Music where her main tutor was Eduardo Vassallo.

During her time at college, she found great motivation from the dynamic multicultural atmosphere and by learning from a diverse range of collaborations between students, helping each other to build their own personal projects. A keen chamber musician, Angela was the founding member of the Trio Lazuli. The trio was active for 4 years giving concerts across East North England, participating in Masterclasses with Frans Helmmerson and Kathryn Stott and performing at the RNCM chamber music festival. There, she also had the opportunity to receive advice in masterclasses by Miklós Perényi and Johannes Moser.

In 2016 she moved to Berlin and started working as a freelancer. Currently, she is part of the Preussisches Kammerochester in Prenzlau ,where she continues to grow as a musician . In 2018 she co-founded 1781 Collective, a music organisation offering alternative concert experiences and collaborating with similar mind alike ensembles.

In her free time Angela loves travelling, specially to her native Madrid.
